The DSBA Property Committee are delighted to kick off our 2024 CPD programme with an in-person practical and informative seminar for property law practitioners.
Joseph McGranaghan, qualified barrister and Assistant Principal Officer at Tailte Eireann will take us through First Registrations: Applications and Common Issues arising.
Paul McGennis head of Dual Asset Ireland Ltd Insurance will discuss Legal Title and Indemnity Insurance Solutions.
Judith Christie from the Revenue Commissioners will walk us through the Help to Buy Scheme and how it operates.
Katie O’Riordan will provide an update on residential property taxes to include LPT and VHT.
SPEAKERS:
Joseph McGranaghan is a qualified barrister, having been called to the bar in 2015, who works as an Assistant Principal Officer in the Legal Services Unit of Tailte Éireann – Registration. Joseph currently works in the First Registration and Ground Rents areas and has experience of working with Registered Property and being the Land Registry Court Registrar.
Paul McGennis is head of DUAL Asset Ireland; he leads the team in Ireland and brings over 30 years’ experience as a Lawyer in Ireland in the Real Estate Sector. His strong understanding of the legal environment surrounding the real estate and property financing sectors adds invaluable insights into the delivery of DUAL Asset’s title to share and real estate offerings.
Judith Christie is a Higher Executive Office in Personal Division, Revenue and has responsibility for the HTB function. and she will walk us through the scheme and how it operates.
Katie O’Riordan is an Administrative officer in Personal division and is part of the LPT team. Katie will speak on the residential property tax and in particular LPT and VHT.
