The 2020 CPD cycle instituted under the CPD Regulation (Solicitors (Continuing Professional Development) Regulations, 2017) S.I. 529 of 2017 came into effect on the 1st January 2020 and continues to run for the calendar year 2023. Every solicitor who is a sole practitioner or a compliance partner and/or an anti-money laundering compliance partner now has a CPD requirement which includes a minimum of 3 hours practice management.
To meet that requirement this seminar will focus on the following key areas;
- A review of issues relation to cessation of practice, succession practices and run off cover.
- Advices on pension issues up to and including retirement
- How to plan for retirement, passing on your practice, how to “survive” retirement, how to fund it, factors to consider.
