SPEAKERS
Niall Cawley is a sole principal practicing for over twenty nine years in Blackrock Co Dublin. He was Chair of the DSBA Practice Management Committee for four years, and was Dublin Solicitors Bar Association President from 2024-2025 he also a member of the Law Society Council as a DSBA nominee
Eamonn Maguire has worked for the Law Society over many years, across several roles. He was previously responsible for regulating solicitors’ advertising, and was secretary to the advertising sub-division of the Regulation of Practice Committee. Following this, Eamonn worked as the Law Society’s Complaints and Compliance Manager, ensuring the orderly wind-up of the Complaints and Client Relations Section. In his current role as Regulatory Communications Manager, Eamonn is focused on improving the way the Law Society supports and guides solicitors in meeting their regulatory obligations. Eamonn is also secretary to the Guidance and Ethics Committee
Tony Watson, Head of Complaints, Investigations and Resolutions Department Tony Watson joined the LSRA in September 2019 and is the Head of Complaints, Investigations and Resolutions. He qualified as a solicitor in England and worked as a litigator in London. He moved to Ireland in 2005 and joined the Complaints Section of the Law Society, where he was Deputy Head of Complaints prior to joining the LSRA. Tony has extensive experience in the regulation of lawyers, and the investigation and resolution of complaints in particular
Cian Clinch leads the Data Protection and Privacy team in Hayes solicitors LLP. He has over 12 years’ experience specialising in data protection and privacy law, with particular expertise in GDPR, ePrivacy and FOI. Cian advises organisations and professional practices on understanding and meeting their data protection obligations in a practical and proportionate way. His work includes advising on data handling and sharing, retention, privacy notices, data subject access requests, data breaches and appropriate policies and governance. He also advises on the data protection implications of new technologies, including AI, and emerging regulatory requirements
