SPEAKERS

Des Dillon – Engage Financial Solutions. Des is a seasoned Financial Advisor with more than two decades of experience in the Financial Services Industry. Specialising in Wealth and Financial Planning, he has dedicated his career to helping companies, directors, executives, family offices, and charities achieve their financial goals. His professional journey includes pivotal roles at renowned institutions like Davy Stockbrokers, Aviva, and Cantor Fitzgerald, where he honed his expertise in managing diverse and complex financial portfolios. Des is a Qualified Financial Adviser with additional certifications as a Specialist Investment Advisor and Retirement Planning Advisor.

Julie Brennan (Managing Director LQSI and Solicitor) has worked in the area of Risk Management and Compliance for over 16 years, following on from a number of years in practice as a solicitor. She brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in this area as a result of her extensive work with law firms of all sizes throughout Ireland.  LQSI services include auditing Irish law firms to the Q standard, carrying out independent file reviews, annually reviewing policies and procedures, keeping clients up to date with regular webinars as well as bespoke compliance training and solutions for law firms

Simon Treanor has worked in the Regulation Department of the Law Society since 2012, he subsequently qualified as a barrister and was an executive in the Practice Regulation Section from 2016 to 2025. He now works as a Financial Regulation Executive in the Financial Regulation Section of the Regulation Department.  He reviews reports drafted concerning solicitor firms, compiles agendas and attends meetings of the Regulation of Practice Committee.  He also deals with queries from the Legal Services Regulatory Authority, solicitors and matters relating to solicitors AML obligations.

Rory Conway has over nine years’ experience in helping businesses strengthen their online presence and works extensively with solicitors and other professionals across Ireland. At The Roadmap, he and his team have developed a clear process that makes digital marketing straightforward, effective, and aligned to each firm’s goals. He looks forward to contributing to the webinar and sharing practical insights.
