SPEAKERS
Gavin Woods is an established legal advisor with expertise in high-stakes, contentious matters, particularly at the intersection of technology, media, and law. He is widely recognised for his strategic counsel on complex issues involving intellectual property, data protection, privacy, defamation, and emerging digital regulations. As a trusted advisor to senior executives and in-house counsel, Gavin is known for his ability to navigate sensitive disputes and regulatory challenges. He regularly represents clients before the Irish Courts and international arbitral tribunals in both commercial and civil disputes. A partner at the global law firm, DLA Piper, Gavin plays a key role in delivering cross-border legal solutions, working closely with international colleagues to advise on the fast-evolving landscape of EU digital regulation. His work is particularly focused on the EU Digital Decade initiatives, including digital services, data strategy, AI governance, cybersecurity, and digital privacy—areas where legal, reputational, and commercial risks converge. Gavin also brings valuable insight into communications strategy, investigations, and public policy, helping clients manage legal risk while protecting their brand and stakeholder relationships in high-profile matters.
Eoin Delap BL is a barrister practising in civil law with a focus on insurance defence and regulatory law. He is the Chief Executive of the Irish Centre for European Law based in Trinity College Dublin. Eoin was a lecturer in Griffith College where he led the Privacy and Data Protection module in the LL.M.
Barry Rojack BL is Head of Regulatory Compliance and Risk (Financial Services) and Data Protection Office at Uniquely and a key member of the Senior Management Team. He has over 25 years’ experience as a governance, risk, compliance and legal professional, principally in risk, conduct and compliance, and associated banking law and regulation across ROI, UK & the EU, and as a former regulator in the Central Bank of Ireland. He has significant experience in regulatory engagement on high priority projects and deliverables / RMPs. He has extensive technical and practical knowledge of bank law, Irish, UK and EU regulation, compliance and risk management, and expectations and standards of regulators. He has written and reviewed IoB course material and delivered several CPD events for the LIA. He has published thought-leadership papers on key compliance subjects and articles for Compliance-related periodicals.
