SPEAKERS:
MARK FELTON – is a partner in the firm of Amorys Solicitors heading up the Mental Health Law Department in the firm. He is a member of the DSBA Mental Health and Capacity Committee, the Law Society Mental Health Task Force, and he is a member of the Mental Health Commission Legal Representative Panel. He has spoken at numerous seminars over the years on a variety of Mental Health Law related topics. He practices extensively in the Mental Health Law arena and has a wide experience in the area. He is currently engaged in numerous applications for discharge from wardship.
ALICE WHITE – is the Registrar of Wards of Court and has 19 years’ experience in the Courts Service. She has worked in a number of front line court offices and support areas in the Service. She has had senior roles in the Wards of Court Office and the High Court and was the Central Office Registrar before being appointed Registrar of Wards of Court in October 2019. Alice has a Bachelor of Business degree and post graduate certificate in corporate governance
NIALL FARRELL – qualified in 1988. He has practiced extensively over the last ten years in mental health and Wardship matters in addition to Probate and Probate disputes. He was chairman of the Solicitors Disciplinary Tribunal for seven years and is a member of the Legal Services Disciplinary Tribunal. He chairs Mental Health Tribunals, chaired Garda Disciplinary Tribunals for many years and was an RTB adjudicator. He is a former member of the Council of the Law Society, former chairman of various Law Society committees and currently is a member of the Law Society Capacity Task Force.
