Fiona Murphy SC was called to the Bar in 2000 having worked as a Chartered Quantity Surveyor for a number of years. She was called to the Inner Bar in 2018. Fiona is a leading Senior Counsel with a distinguished practice in both prosecution and defence of serious criminal cases, as well as judicial review. She regularly appears before the Central Criminal Court and the Special Criminal Court, where she has prosecuted and defended in cases involving murder, rape, money laundering, organised crime, and human trafficking. Her expertise spans the full spectrum of serious crime, and she is particularly noted for her work in multi-defendant trials and cases involving sensitive evidence and international dimensions. In addition to her criminal law practice, Ms Murphy has a strong presence in the area of judicial review, frequently acting in cases concerning the criminal justice system, fair trial rights, and the exercise of prosecutorial or policing powers.
Kevin Roche BL – was called to the Bar of Ireland in 2019. He practices predominantly in the areas of Criminal Law, Judicial Review and Administrative Law, and Labour and Employment Law. Kevin is a graduate of University College Dublin, the University of Cambridge, and the Honorable Society of King’s Inns. He has also been a part-time lecturer at UCD Sutherland School of Law since 2019 and has lectured extensively to undergraduates in the fields of Criminal Law, Criminal Procedure, and Jury Trials.
Brian Storan BL, LLB (Dub.), Grad. Dip. (Syd.) was called to the Bar of Ireland in 2009.He regularly practises and advises in criminal, extradition, judicial review, defamation and regulatory matters. He has experience in consulting and advising Irish Rule of Law International, Fair Trials International, the Irish Council for Civil Liberites and in the provision of expert reports for foreign courts.
Judge Shalom Binchy was appointed as a District Court Judge in June 2023. Prior to her appointment she worked as a solicitor working mainly in the areas of criminal defence and mental health law. She is a former member and chairperson of the Criminal Law Committee of the Law Society and a former member of the Policing Authority (now the Policing and Community Safety Authority).
