Speakers
Stephanie Fury is a Chartered Accountant who qualified in 2017. She has been an investigating accountant with the Law Society since 2021. Her role involves carrying out regulatory inspections of solicitors’ firms in the Leinster region and certain areas in the West of Ireland. In her role, Stephanie is dedicated to safeguarding and supporting the solicitors’ profession by ensuring compliance with professional standards, the Solicitors Accounts Regulations, and anti-money laundering
Rory O’Neill is a Fellow Chartered Accountant and is the Financial Controller of the Compensation Fund of the Law Society. Prior to this Rory, spent 14 years as an investigating accountant, carrying out over 500 investigations and has been involved in a number of contentious matters before the High Court and Solicitors Disciplinary Tribunal. He has been consulted in relation to regulatory matters on state projects and is extensively involved in raising the profession’s awareness of cybercrime and property fraud and the risk they pose to their practices.
Simon Treanor has worked in the Regulation Department of the Law Society since 2012, he subsequently qualified as a barrister and was an executive in the Practice Regulation Section from 2016 to 2025. He now works as a Financial Regulation Executive in the Financial Regulation Section of the Regulation Department. He reviews reports drafted concerning solicitor firms, compiles agendas and attends meetings of the Regulation of Practice Committee. He also deals with queries from the Legal Services Regulatory Authority, solicitors and matters relating to solicitors AML obligations.
Rory Conway has over nine years’ experience in helping businesses strengthen their online presence and works extensively with solicitors and other professionals across Ireland. At The Roadmap, he and his team have developed a clear process that makes digital marketing straightforward, effective, and aligned to each firm’s goals. He looks forward to contributing to the webinar and sharing practical insights.
