The Small Companies Administrative Rescue Process (SCARP) by Graham Kenny, Partner, Eversheds – Sutherland LLP.

Graham will examine SCARP and how small to medium sized law firms are well placed to assist SMEs going through this process.

Winding Up & Creditors Voluntary Liquidation by Cormac Mohan, Managing Director of FM Accountants & Business Advisors.

Cormac will give an overview of the steps involved in the Winding Up process and a Creditors Voluntary Liquidation.

SCARP or Examinership by Graham Kenny and Cormac Mohan.

Graham and Cormac will discuss the main differences between SCARP and Examinerships and when an Examinership is preferable to SCARP.

SPEAKERS

Graham Kenny is a member of the Law Society Council and is a senior partner in the litigation department of the international law firm Eversheds-Sutherland LLP. As a solicitor advocate, Graham regularly appears in the Superior Courts representing leading domestic and international companies. Graham has a particular expertise in restructuring and insolvency and has participated in most of the seminal cases in this area over twenty years.

Cormac Mohan is an experienced Senior Finance Professional and is currently Managing Director of FM Accountants & Business Advisors where he heads up the Insolvency and Corporate recovery team.  Cormac has a Corporate Restructuring qualification from the Law Society of Ireland, is a certified commercial mediator and holds a Forensic Accounting qualification.  He has been a member of the Chartered Accountants Insolvency committee over the past six years.  He serves on the board of several Irish companies in an advisory & risk management capacity.

CHAIR

Jessica Hickey is the principal of Hibernian Law Solicitors. She is co-Chair of the DSBA Commercial Law Committee and is a member of the DSBA Council.  Jessica is a Notary Public and a qualified mediator.
